Eastern, Great Lakes, Southwest, and Western Pacific Regions

(Note: For these four regions, there is only a single candidate running for the office of RVP, therefore no links to campaign web sites or candidate intros are needed.)

The Regional Vice Presidents serve on the National Executive Board, the body of the union that sets policy and direction during the time between National Conventions. The RVP’s main duties are mostly to provide support and leadership to the members of the union within that region. The NATCA Constitution describes their jobs:

Section 6. The Regional Vice Presidents, subject to the discretion of the President, shall administer the affairs of their respective Regions, and shall implement all policies established by this Constitution and the National Executive Board.

They shall provide guidance and assistance to locals and local officers in their respective areas.

RVPs are on “official time”, meaning their salary is paid by the government and continues at the same level it was at in the facility to which they are assigned; however, they are detailed to NATCA business on a full-time basis.

The Eastern Region covers the states of Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The Great Lakes Region covers the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

The Southwest Region covers the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.
